Smile Workshop performs a number of dental cosmetic procedures to help you find your smile. Some popular treatments include:
Dental implants provide the basis for natural-looking, long-lasting solutions for replacing missing teeth. They’re created by surgically placing a titanium rod to serve as a “root” that will support the restoration. Implants are often a preferable treatment to bridges.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
This is a common procedure requiring the extraction of wisdom teeth, or third molars, due to an overcrowding problem once the teeth begin to emerge (usually in an individual’s late teens or early 20s). Most removal requires oral surgery, commonly performed while a patient is sedated or asleep.
Sometimes a tooth will not erupt (emerge) from the gums, or will otherwise become impacted due to lack of space. In this case, surgery is required to create a minor incision through the gum tissue. A small brace is then placed on the tooth to slowly pull it into place. Proper positioning time can vary between 3 and 12 months.
Porcelain Veneers are thin, durable, tooth-shaped porcelain coverings that are custom-made in a professional dental laboratory. They’re often used in place of crowns and can be an ideal solution for creating a uniform, white, beautiful smile.
Crowns (or “caps”) are coverings that encase the tooth, restoring it to its original or desired shape and size. The most popular crowns are made of porcelain and are used to restore teeth that are broken or decayed or teeth with large fillings or root canals.
Root Canal Therapy
Root Canal Therapy is the dental specialty focused on saving the tooth when the pulp (the living tissue inside the tooth) becomes decayed or infected. This treatment involves the filling and sealing of the tooth with special dental material that will help prevent reinfection.
Retreat Root Canal Therapy
A retreatment of root canal therapy may be necessary if new decay has developed in the area. This can occur if a filling has become loose or broken, if the canal was not completely cleaned and sealed, or if a canal was missed altogether. Retreatment calls for the reopening of the tooth, then recleaning and filling of the tooth.
Composite Fillings are tooth-colored materials used to repair a tooth affected by wear, decay or fractures. This procedure is common and usually performed very quickly, providing durable, long-lasting results.
