Not only can your toothbrush not reach this area of your mouth, but it can also push the plaque in between your teeth as you brush. This plaque will generate acid that will eat away at your teeth. This will cause tooth decay and gum disease, so it is important to floss at least once a day. Eat a Healthy Diet
Eating a healthy diet can be absolutely essential to making sure you keep your teeth happy and healthy in 2018. Your mouth is the primary entryway to the rest of your body, and since all of your food will touch your mouth, it is important to eat healthy to keep your body and teeth in their best shape. There are plenty of fruits and vegetables that will provide your teeth with essential nutrients, and brush them in the process. Saliva production is also essential in this process since it will kill bacteria in your mouth in a natural way. Chewing sugarless gum for at least 20 minutes after meals is also an effective way to remove leftover food particles from your teeth.
Visit Your Local Dentist Regularly
The most important healthy smile resolution you can make this year is to see your local dentist at Smile Workshop at least twice a year. Your dentist is the only person in your life that will examine your mouth for early signs of severe tooth decay, gum disease and mouth cancer so it is important to have regular check-ups even if there is nothing wrong with your teeth.
